RE: how to consolidate files
Hi Joanne,
The following steps should cover it
1. Start on a new sheet - possibly in a new book and go to the data tab and click on consoldate to get a dialogue box up.
2. Select your 1st data range with your mouse having opened up the necessary file. Click on add.
3. Repeat as often as necessary to select all the ranges you need to consolidate.
ick the boxes at the bottom of the dialague box as necessary about titles and linking to source data
4. Click OK and you're done.
Hope this helps

Excel tip:Turn off AutoComplete in ExcelYou may have noticed when typing into your spreadsheets that if you start to enter labels that begin with the same letters as a label that has been previously entered in the same spreadsheet, Excel will try and automatically complete the text for you. This feature is called AutoComplete. |
