Shortcut keys

Hi,

I am using Excel 2007. Up until last week I was using the Ctrl+Alt+V shortcut for the paste value function and it was working. Suddenly it has stopped working. What could be wrong?

Also what is the shortcut cut key for paste special in Excel 2007? I have looked in the Excel help shortcut keys and cant find it.

Hi Emeraba,

Thank you for your question.

I have just tried to use the ctrl+alt+v shortcut on my laptop in Excel 2007 and it opens the Paste Special box.

It maybe that the shortcut has been overwritten somehow and is assigned to something else.

Recently used file list

Under the File menu, you may find a list of files at the bottom of the menu. These files represent the most recently used Excel spreadsheets. This file list provides a quick way for you to access your files.

You can disable the file list feature of Excel. This is done by

1. Choose Tools > Options menu. You will see the Options dialog box.
2. Ensure the General tab is selected.
3. Make sure the Recently Used File List check box is cleared.
4. Click on OK.
