I extract data from a database into an excel report that is 2 columns, one for customer, one for sales. If the sales figure for a couple of customers changes after a few days (or another customer si added to the figures) I want to compare the two sets of sales figures and show the differences please?

Thank you for your question regarding comparing columns.
This particular question would require development work as it may not be as straightforward as you explain.
As a starting point, you would need to import the new data columns into the sheet or other sheet so they can be compared. Its possible to use If function, such as =IF(B3=H3,0,H3-B3). The first part compares a figure in B3 with H3, if they match then its true, so performs the 0, if they are different, false, it takes one cell from other to show the difference!
However, it would need more work to check new entries etc..
