Pivot tables

How can i reorder elements in a pivot table? It defaults to alphabetical order, but I'd like to change it.

RE: pivot tables

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

The only way I know of achieving this is by dragging the cell entries manually to reorder them.

If you place your mouse pointer to the right hand border of the selected cell value until the cursor changes to a white four pointed arrow and then drag the cell to the new position.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
