Delete temporary internet files via VB

I am running a web query across multiple parameters stored in multiple cells. After several iterations/loops, it stops working and returns a 1004 error. Looking on the web, it appears that too many similar queries have caused a naming convention error in my temp folder (http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1795107). Other web queries appear to work fine.

Deleting the Temporary Internet History via Tools > Delete Browsing History helps but this has to be repeatedly performed manually. I have tried to use a Kill statement but that does not work as permissions are required (am on work PC). Is there a script that can do this simply?

RE: Delete temporary internet files via VB

Hello Li-kim

Thanks for your post and providing detail on your web queries.

We have reviewed this and our initial thoughts are that there may be a solution available but it lies beyond the scope of this forum.

We would need to review your working files and then produce a scope of work with durations and related costs. You will then be able to review and decide if you wish to proceed.

I will email you directly so if you want to discuss further you can reply to my email.

Kind regards

Jacob

Excel tip:

Transpose text

You can transpose any range of cells, turning the columns into rows and the rows into columns. Just follow these steps:

Select the range.

Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar to copy it to the Clipboard.

Select a cell outside of the range you copied.

Select Paste Special from the Edit menu.

In the Paste Special dialog box, click Transpose, then OK.
