How do I convert a decimal to hours/mins eg. If a day=1 and I work .3 of a day on a project, how do I convert that to hours and minutes in a cell?
Thanks
Lee
RE: Excel
Hi Lee
Thank you for your question regarding the conversion of a decimal to hour/mins.
The quickest & simplest way to achieve this is to multiply 24 (being the number of hours in 1 day) by 0.3 (the time you've worked on a project)
So, 24 x 0.3 = 7.2hrs
Creating this as a formula would enable you to change the number of hours you've worked, having the hours being reflected automatically, i.e. 24 in cell A1, 0.3 in cell B1, formula in cell C1 =A1*B1
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
