Changing font colours in Microsoft Excel
Hi Colleen,
It's quite easy to change the font colours in Excel.
Select the cells you want to change (eg. one cell, or entire row or entire column), then go to Format -> Cells... to bring up a dialogue box. Switch to the Font tab and then select your colour from the Colour drop down box.
There is also a quicker way: if you have the Formatting toolbar turned on (it is by default, otherwise go to View -> Toolbars -> Formatting), then you will see an 'A' button. You can press this button to apply the last colour used, or use the little arrow drop down next to it to select any colour you want.
You'll also see a paint bucket tool next to the font colour button, and you can use this to change the background colour of cells.
Colours are a great way of separating information to make your spreadsheet easier to read.
I trust this answers your question. Good luck with your spreadsheet creations!
Thanks for attending our Excel Introduction course.
