Page numbering

In a booklet publication, how do you start pages on page 3 and ommit page on the outside back.

RE: Page numbering

Hi Bola,

Thank you for your question.

As far as I am concerned, the only way to achieve this is to create a text box on each page and enter the page number manually.

You can create two master pages one with the header and footer and one without. The following link explains background pages.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HP010036031033.aspx?pid=CH063587691033

Then you can apply the master pages as required. The only problem with this is the fact that you don't seem to be able to re-number the pages so that the fourth page in your publication shows up as page 1.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Microsoft Office tip:

Prevent macros from running when you start Applications

Macros are automated programs that can help you speed up your work. They can be embedded in caommands like AutoExec which will make them run as soon as an application like MS Word or MS Access are launched.
Sometimes it is useful to be able to switch off this function, and then can be done by the following method.
Hold down the SHIFT key when you click on the icon to start the program. This will suppress any automated macros.
