Are they useful in a Powerpoint presentation, what benefits would they bring?

Hi Carole, thanks for your query. Macros can indeed be beneficial as they automate complex tasks. You could develop a macro which starts a dialog box and aids creation of individual slides. The user would enter text into the text fields in the dialog box and on pressing an "OK" button, the macro would populate the placeholders on the slide with the correct information. Macros open up the world of Visual Basic for Applications and we literally do entire courses on that!
