Pivot table

How can I create a pivot table?

RE: pivot table

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Open the spreadsheet and click in any one of the cells of data(any cell underneath the main headings). The spreadsheet must have the data arranged in columns.

Then go to Data and PivotTable and PivotChart Report. Follow the steps of the wizard specifying the type of report, the range of cells your Pivot table will be based on and which sheet you want to place the pivot table on.

Then go to Layout and specify your Row, Column, and Data fields.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Closing Multiple Workbooks quickly

When you have several workbooks open in Excel and want to just close them all at once:

1) Hold down the SHIFT key before selecting the File menu.

2) Once in File menu release SHIFT key and select Close All option.

3) All your files will close. If files require saving Excel will ask if you want to save the changes.
