Pivot table

How do you merge a pivot table into a powerpoint presentation and have access to the pivot table data on the powerpoint presentation

RE: pivot table

Hello Sarah

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

I found the following information on creating interactive pivot tables in PowerPoint, which might be useful to you.

http://www.tushar-mehta.com/powerpoint/pivottable_in_slideshow/

Please note that the instructions are for PowerPoint 2003, I think the main difference will be finding the Microsoft Office Pivot Table object since there is not a Control Toolbox toolbar in 2007.

You should find the same objects however on the Developer Ribbon in PowerPoint 2007.

If the Developer ribbon is not showing in PowerPoint, then do the following:

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, select PowerPoint Options.
2. Click Popular, select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box and click OK.

To find the Pivot Table object, go to the Developer tab, click More Controls in the Controls group.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda

Excel tip:

Move data worksheet to worksheet

To move data from one worksheet to another, highlight the data.

Select and hold down the ALT key and position the mouse on the border of the selection until the mouse pointer displays four-headed arrows.

Drag the selection down to the destination worksheet tab.

When the arrow touches the tab, Excel switches to the desired worksheet. Now drag the selection to the correct position. Let go of the mouse and then the ALT key.

To copy data from one worksheet to another, select and hold down the CTRL+ALT keystroke combination and perform the steps above.
