How do i paste formula only or values only?

RE: Cuting and Pasting

Hello Jonathan,

Thank you for your quesiton and welcome to the forum.

By default Excel will paste the formulas but to change to the values you can either:

Use the Smart Tag that appears at the bottom right of your paste. Selecting the Values option.

Or

Go to Edit Paste Special (or right click Paste Special) and select Values (or Formulas) and ok.

Thanks and kind regards

Maggie

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
