Example for pivot table question.

Hi,

Re: my previous question about showing schedule data in pivot tables, here's what I'm doing with the result:

Data:
ORIGIN DESTINATION EQUIPMENT TYPE DAYS OF OPERATION DEPARTURE TIME ARRIVAL TIME
ADD AUH 'ABF 5 15:40:00 20:10:00

Formula:
=A2&";"&B2&";"&C2&";"&D2&";"&E2&";"&F2

Result:
ADD;AUH;'ABF;5;0.652777777777778;0.840277777777778

Anybody any suggestions as to how to avoid the corruption of 24 Hr time format?

RE: Example for pivot table question.

Hi Adrian

Thanks for this update. I didn't see it before replying to your previous post

I could still do with seeing the workbook so that I can see the source data and table settings and properties

Regards

Stephen

RE: Example for pivot table question.

Hi Stephen,

I am trying to recreate a method used by Bill Jelen in his "Power Excel 2007" DVD. I'll send you the workbook separately as there doesn't seem to be an option to attach.

Thanks for the interest,
Adrian.

RE: Example for pivot table question.

Hi Rich,

Just sent the Bill Jelen file (to the forum email address) that explains the multiple consolidation range technique. Let me know if you want the schedule data file as well (it's exactly the same info. as I posted in the first thread).

Cheers,
Adrian.

RE: Example for pivot table question.

Hi Adrian,

I have received the file, thanks.

I will pass it on to Stephen who can have a look at it and get back to you via this post.

RE: Example for pivot table question.

Hi Adrian,

How about this?

=A2&";"&B2&";"&C2&";"&D2&";"&HOUR(E2)&":"&MINUTE(E2)&":"&SECOND(E2)&";"&HOUR(E2)&":"&MINUTE(E2)&":"&SECOND(E2)

Basically getting the Hour, Minute and Second information and appending semi-colons between each one.

Does that work for you?

Regards, Rich
