how to record macros

RE: macros

Hi Joey

To record a basic macro go to Tools/ Macros/record new macro.

You will need to give it a name. Then it will record everything you want the Macro to do by remembering everything you do from that point with the mouse and keyboard.

When you are finished click tools/macros/stop recording.

This is the basics. For more advanced macro's you will need to consider VBA training.

Hope that helps.
David

Excel tip:

Status Bar Functions

When using the SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE and COUNT functions, the result of such calculations are displayed in the worksheet.

However, if a range of cells, containing numbers, is highlighted, and then a right-mouse click is performed at the bottom right side of the status bar, then the result of those functions will be displayed.
