How do I use Hyperlinks and remove Hyperlinks

RE: Hyperlinks

Hi Douglas

Thank you for your question and wlelcome to the forum.

To create a hyperlink:

1. Select the cell which contains the text you wish to put the hyperlink on.

2. Go to Insert - Hyperlink or Ctrl + K.

3. Within the Insert Hyperlink dialogue box, select the appropriate option under Link to on the left hand side of the dialogue box (normally existing file or web page or place in this document). If you are linking to an existing file or web page then you need to have either the web site address or browse to and select the file that you wish to link to.

4. Click OK.

To remove a hyperlink:
1. Right-click on the cell containing the hyperlink.
2. Select Remove Hyperlink.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Excel tip:

Creating custom lists

In Excel if you type in January in a cell, you can then copy this cell to replicate Febraury, MArch, April etc.

This list has come from Tools- options and Custom lists.

Therefore to save time and create your own list you can click on New (in Tools and custom list tab) and type out the lsit that you want copied quickly.

All you have to do is then type in the 1st word and you will be able to copy the rest of the list quickly.
