How do you transfer photographic images to powerpoint so they retain the size/shape/theme of the presentation?

RE: powerpoint

Hello Clive

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Most manipulation of images would need to be done in another application (e.g. PhotoShop) to get the image the way that you want it before inserting the image into PowerPoint.

PowerPoint offers limited image manipulation tools. If you right-click on an image and go to Format Picture, on the Picture tab you will have some options to change the colour, contrast and brightness under Image control. You can also set specific dimensions for a picture on the Size tab.

PowerPoint tip:

Change the default folder location for opening and saving presentations

If you are always opening presentations from and/or saving documents to a specific location that is not My Documents, save time by setting this folder as the default for opening files from and saving files to.

Here's how:
1. Go to Tools - Options.

2. Select the Save tab.

3. Enter the pathname of the folder you wish to make the default in the Default File Location box (hint: it will be easier to use Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder, then copy and paste the pathname from the address bar at the top of the Windows Explorer screen).

4. Click OK.

You have now changed the default folder for opening and saving presentations.
