RE: excel 2007 formating

Hi Scott,

Formatting in 2007 has not really changed that much from previous versions. The best thing to do is use the help menu.

The Home tab has everything you will need but in a cut down version. If you do not see what you are looking for in a particular section such as font you can click on a small square with an arrow in the bottom right of it. The will give you the old versions boxes which give you everything available.

The other thing that is good with office 2007 in general is that once you highlight something and move your mouse slowly upwards you get a font box fade in with some basic features. This will only work though if you have clicked into the cell and highlighted.

Regards
Martin

Excel tip:

Quickly hide and unhide rows and columns

Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+9 to hide selected rows and Ctrl+0 to hide selected columns. The good thing about this shortcut is that you do not need to select entire rows or columns. For example, select B3:D3 then press Ctrl+0 to hide columns B to D.

Ctrl+Shift+9 unhides rows and Ctrl+Shift+0 unhides columns.
