How do you transfer design templates?

RE: templates

Hi Daniella

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

There are two ways of going about this:

1. Save the file with the design you wish to reuse again as a template file.
To do this: Office button > Save > select one of the template file types from the Save as type box > choose where you wish to save the template to > Save.

Then you can apply the template to a new presentation by going to Office button > New > choose the New from Existing option under Templates > navigate to and select the template file > OK.

2. You could also use the Reuse slides option to select a slide that has the design you wish to use, that way you can transfer the master slide for that design to the presentation you are creating.

To do this:
Home ribbon>New Slide>Reuse Slides (last option)

Then in the Task Pane (right side of Window) >select Browse File >choose the file and slides to be inserted.

Ensure the Keep Source Formatting box is ticked and click Insert.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

Multiple Presentations

You can open as many presentations as your computer memory can handle, this is good for copying slides from one to another. To view all open presentations on screen, use the Window, Arrange All command. To scroll through all open windows one after another use the Ctrl+F6 command.
