How do format the contents page professionally e.g Look and feel of spacing

RE: Word

Hi Neil

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

You can change the look and feel of a contents page when you are creating it by:

1. Changing the Format for the Table of Contents - when you go into Insert - Reference - Index and Tables and choose Table of Contents there is an option on the left of the dialogue box which allows you to change the format.

2. Clicking the Modify button in the same dialogue box, selecting the style you wish to change (TOC1, TOC2 or TOC3) and clicking Modify again. This then allows you to change things like font size, paragraph spacing etc. Once yo have made your changes click OK, OK, OK to apply and exit.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Change measurement units in Word

You might find that a computer you are working on is displaying measurements for margins, indents, tabs etc in units other than what you would prefer to use.

You can change measurement units by:

1. Going to Tools - Options.

2. Selecting the General tab.

3. Selecting the desired measurement units from the Measurement Units dropdown list.

4. Clicking OK.
