Handwriting in Excel

I now you can use some kind of wordpad to write in (freehand), like on a PDA for instance, and then import this as handwrting format in Excel, but I don't know how?

RE: Handwriting in Excel

Hi Ian

Thanks for your question. If you use something like Word Pad or Note Pad and save the file as a .txt file, then you can import a .txt file into Excel.

All you need to do is open Excel, then open the .txt file from inside Excel. When you go to open the file, make sure that in the Open dialogue box, you change the type of file to be opened to All Files down the bottom of the dialogue box, then navigate to and select the .txt file.

You will then need to go through a three step import wizard which is quite straightforward.

I hope this helps.
Amanda
