Charts in PowerPoint

Is cutting and pasting table data to the excel chart set up page when setting up a chart always accurate?

RE: Charts in PowerPoint 2007

Dear Kerry

Thank you for attending PowerPoint Courses. I hope the course was enjoyable as well as informative.

I am not exactly sure what your question implies but if I am correct in understanding you are referring to the process of creating a chart in PowerPoint 2007.

In PowerPoint 2007 when you create a chart it automatically opens Excel for you to enter data. I believe you are asking that if you copy and paste the data from existing Excel workbook to the dummy data in Excel will the chart always be reflected correctly!

If that is your question then I would say that it depends what type of chart you want to display. Please note that there are various types of charts and not every type of chart may represent your data correctly. E.g. pie chart is used for displaying eth proportion and there for if you copied and pasted two separate columns for a pie chart the chart will show incorrect data. You will have to convert the Chart to a more meaningful type to show the correct data.

If you need more information on various types of charts and when to use them then please reply to this post and I should be able to provide you more information.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards
