Linking to sheets

I would like to create a sheet which is linked to a current existing sheet so that i can change the information on the new sheet and it directly affect the current existing sheet. any help with this would be much appreciated?

Thanks

RE: linking to sheets

Hi Reyno

You can link what is in a cell on one sheet to a cell on another sheet very easily by creating a formula. For example, if I want whatever is entered into cell B5 on Sheet 1 to be automatically entered into cell B10 on Sheet 2, then I can go to cell B10 on Sheet 2, type in =, then go to Sheet 1 and click on cell B5 and press Enter.

This links cell B5 on Sheet 1 with cell B10 on Sheet 2. Whatever you enter into cell B5 on Sheet 1 should automatically appear in cell B10 on Sheet 2.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions please post them on our forum.

Excel tip:

Adding multiple rows in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add more than one row to an Excel Worksheet, drag select the number or rows you want added to the spreadsheet.

Then right click on these selected rows, choose Insert from the menu, and the new rows will be added above the rows you first selected.
