Text size

How do I stop text resizing by itself?

RE: Text size

Hi Emma

Thank you for your question.

The resizing of font to fit a placeholder is controlled by the AutoCorrect settings in PowerPoint.

If you go to Tools/Autocorrect options/Autoformat as you type, you can remove the tick from next to Autofit body text to placeholder (and remove the tick for Autofit title text to placeholder as well if you want) then click OK.

This stops the text from changing to a different font size once a placeholder starts filling up with text.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

Moving to the next place holder quickly

When you want to move to the next placeholder rather than use the mouse press CTRL + Return.
