Slide Master

Is there a way to set the slide master so that you can have a variety of title slides attached to one presentation so you can change the title slide for different audiences whilst maintaining the content

RE: Slide Master

Hi Geoff

Thank you for your question.

You can set up multiple slide masters or title masters in one presentation. Firstly access the master slide view (View - Master - Slide master) then you can use the Insert menu to insert a New Slide Master or New Title Master.

Then you can create as many Slide Masters or Title Masters as you like. Make sure you preserve each master slide (a preserved slide will show a pin symbol next to it on the left side of the screen). You can preserve a master slide by selecting it and clicking the Preserve master button on the Slide Master View toolbar (the button has a pin symbol on it).

Then Close the slide master view.

You can access and apply your choice of master slide by going to Format - Slide Design (to display the different master slide designs in the task pane on the right of the screen). You should be able to see your master slide designs in the task pane.

To apply the design you wish to use, display the slide you wish to apply the design to on the screen, then right-click on it and choose Apply to Selected Slides.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

Doodling on your active slides

To add a little graphic interest during a presentation, switch on the Pen with Ctrl+P. Now your mouse can be used to draw on the slide. Ctrl+E switches on the Eraser to rub things out, and Ctrl+A brings back the Arrow.

At the end of the presentation you have the option to save or discard any un-erased doodlings.
