Colour pallets

how do I set a default schemes pallet for all my presentation, rather than having to search for my colours each time?

RE: colour pallets

Hi Sabrina

1) Click Design button on your Formatting toolbar, then you will see in the Task Pane: Design Templates, Colour Schemes, Animation Schemes.

2) Click on Colour Schemes, then look towards the bottom of the Task Pane and you will see Edit Colour Schemes...

3) Make the changes to the palette that you require, then click Add As Standard Scheme, then click Apply to save to current slide. You will note that the new Scheme will now display at the end of the Task pane.

4) So that your scheme will now be available for all your future presentations, save the presentation as a Template.

5) Select File menu, type a file name and change the File Type to Design Template click Save.

6) To use your default scheme at any time, just click the Design button on your Formatting toolbar, choose your template from the list and then click on Colour Schemes to choose your scheme from the list.

PowerPoint tip:

Reset default toolbars in PowerPoint

If you find any of your toolbars in PowerPoint have changed (i.e. they are missing or have extra buttons) then you can reset them to their defaults.

1. Go to Tools - Customise.
2. Select the Toolbars tab.
3. Select (highlight) the name of the toolbar you wish to reset, then click the Reset button on the right.
4. Close the dialogue box.
