Downloding clip art

How do I download clip art from the internet?

RE: downloding clip art

Hi Jeremy

Thanks for your question.

You can do this by:

1. Opening the Insert ClipArt task pane (on the right of your screen).

2. Click the Clips Online link at the bottom of the task pane.

3. Use the ClipArt search box at the top of the screen to search for images.

4. You will then be able to tick the image/s you wish to download. A selection basket will appear on the left hand panel on the screen.

5. When you've finished selecting images, click the Download 'X' items link in the Selection basket, then follow through from there to download the image/s.

6. In PowerPoint, use the Insert ClipArt task pane - use the same search word that you used to find the image/s on the Microsoft web site and the image/s you have downloaded should appear so you can insert them.

PowerPoint tip:

Change the default folder location for opening and saving presentations

If you are always opening presentations from and/or saving documents to a specific location that is not My Documents, save time by setting this folder as the default for opening files from and saving files to.

Here's how:
1. Go to Tools - Options.

2. Select the Save tab.

3. Enter the pathname of the folder you wish to make the default in the Default File Location box (hint: it will be easier to use Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder, then copy and paste the pathname from the address bar at the top of the Windows Explorer screen).

4. Click OK.

You have now changed the default folder for opening and saving presentations.
