Organisation Chart

I have used the set up wizard to create an organisation chart. I want to make some of the boxes smaller than others - how do I do this?

RE: Organisation Chart

Hi Sally,

Once you have created an organisation chart all the boxes become Autoshapes, you can select the boxes by using the Ctrl key and resize the ones you want to change by use of the handles.

You can also take the Autolayout feature off and drag the boxes around to where specifically you would like.

Hope that helps

RE: Organisation Chart

I don't know if I am doing something wrong but using the handles does not resize them - it just moves them! How do I make them smaller?

Also, how do I take to Auto Layout feature off?

RE: Organisation Chart

Hiya Sally,

Yes I see what you mean. The Autolayout fixes the size of the shapes. When you are in the organisation chart you should see a toolbar appear which has a title "Organization Chart". Under the button which says "Layout" there is a dropdown menu which starts "Standard, Right hanging, Left hanging" at the bottom it says "Autolayout" if you click on that then you can re-size the shapes.

Let me know if that works
