Moving images
I have a .jpg bus map uploaded on to powerpoint slide and I want to demonstrate the potential routes that three buses could take.
I want to use an icon of a bus, click the mouse once to active the icon to move along the selected route. When that icon has reached the end of its route, I want that route to flash once and remain highlighted in a chosen colour.
Then when I click the mouse again, I want a second icon of a bus to move along a different selected route, and repeat the above in a different colour.
How can I do this please?
Many thanks,
Michelle
RE: moving images
Hi Michelle. You can achieve this using two basic functions within Powerpoint 2003. The use of Motion Paths in the Custom Animation set of options (right on the graphic of your bus) and then by creating a overlay of the bus route which will appear and flash when the bus has stopped moving. Note that customised motion paths are a recent innovation of Powerpoint and will not work on machines with previous versions installed. Essentially, create a path along the bus route you want the bus icon to move and set it to move on a mouse click and once finished cause the overlay to appear, flash and the disappear, revealing the route as it is on the map. Complicated but effective!
