Can co-pilot be used in planner?

RE: Co-pilot

Hi Ankit
Thank you for using the forum to ask a question about Copilot usage in Planner.

You are correct that Copilot shows up in multiple places across Microsoft products. While they all look like the same "Copilot" they are often licenses in different ways.

Copilot inside Microsoft Planner is only available on Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5 versions (which requires an additional license)

The "Free" version of Planner that is included with 365 and Teams doesn't have a Copilot feature

I hope that helps answer your question

Kind regards

Richard

RE: Co-pilot

Yes it can. Though it is not the most obvious of things.

The license for using copilot within planner is not tied to your copilot license, but instead to your project license.

You need a license called 'Project Plan 3' or 'Project Plan 5'. that will give you access to be able to create premium plans within the planner app. These premium plans are then the ones that allow you to use copilot natively. The functionality is then similar to the other apps where there is a sidepannel that you can use to help you create and amend your plans.

If you don't already have access to premium plans, then you will have to talk to your IT department about getting you the correct licenses.

Microsoft Office tip:

Copying From Websites

If you find some interesting text on a website that you wish to use and adapt in your wordprocessor or other package, highlight and copy in the normal way first.

When you paste though, use the Paste Special option to insert as unformatted text. That cuts out all the fancy formatting and hyperlinks that may be embedded.
