Paste Special
In which instances would you use "Paste special" in Powerpoint and why? Thanks.
RE: Paste Special
Hi Nathan
Thanks for your question.
One of the reasons why you might use Paste Special is so that when you copy text from a particular source (e.g. a web page) and paste it, you can choose to paste as Unformatted Text under Paste Special, which means the text picks up the formatting from the presentation slide you are pasting into rather than keeping the text formatting from the source it was copied from.
You can also choose to paste something with a link to something else by using the Paste Link option, e.g. pasting in an Excel chart with a link to the spreadsheet file that the chart has come from. So you would be able to open the Excel file from the PowerPoint presentation when it is in slide show view.
I hope this helps.
