outlook 2002 training - Flagging questions in another person's inbox

I need to temporarily flag the last question I've read in my boss' inbox before I go home each night, so I know where to start reading when I come in next morning. I have publishing editor permission of his inbox with all permissions except owner, but I can't flag the last message I've read any more.
