Insert Video not Working

Hi,

I am trying to insert a video to a slide, so go through the normal process for embedding. However, it keeps coming up with a file extension problem although the extension is MP4.

A bit confused.

Regards
Simon

RE: Insert Video not Working

Hi Simon

Thanks for getting in touch. The MP4 format for PowerPoint is a bit finicky. You must be using the 2010 version - earlier versions will not insert it.

Furthermore the computer that runs the presentation must have Apple's Quicktime Player installed (it's a free download and easily found online).

Let me know how you get on.

Kind regards

PowerPoint tip:

Blank The Screen During a Presentation

You sometimes need eye-to-eye contact with your audience, so to remove the temptation of the presentation screen behind you, blank out the screen.

Ctrl+B blacks the screen out, and use it again to continue.

Ctrl+W whites the screen, but be careful not to use this in a dark room. You may blind your audience with a strong white light.
