Footnotes on a powerpoint slide

How do I add a footnote on a Powerpoint slide?

RE: Footnotes on a powerpoint slide

Hi Kim

Thanks for getting in touch. Adding footnotes can be done in a number of ways.

If your footnote is a one off, go to the Insert menu and select Text Box. Draw a box and enter your text. You can format the text and box in the usual ways.

If you want the same message to be repeated across your presentation, use a Footer. On the Insert menu again, use the Header & Footer option, check the Footer box and enter your message.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

RE: Footnotes on a powerpoint slide

Hi Gary,
Thanks for your help. We actually did just that, however my colleage was hoping that it would look slightly more professional whereby you place a number 1 for example by some text we have referenced and then at the bottom of the page the number 1 is listed next to the footnote.
He doesn't have the same footnote throughout the powerpoint presentation; he does have differenet references throughout. Does that make sense?
Thanks,
Kim

RE: Footnotes on a powerpoint slide

Hi Kim

Thanks for your reply. I assume you're trying to get functionality similar to Word; there isn't a feature built-in to create these for you.

You can add the "1" yourself and make it SuperScript (look in the Font dialogue for this). I've attached an example for you to look at.

Alternatively you could have a slide at the end of the presentation with all your references in.
