Powerpoint - saving and applying slide masters
I was told to save slide master as powerpoint template. Is this correct? How do you then apply the slide master to a new presentation?
RE: powerpoint - saving and applying slide masters
Hello Isobel,
Thank you for your question regarding saving and applying slide masters .
Rather than saving the slide master as a template you may find it more straight forward to save the presentation itself as a template (this will automatically include the slide masters).
To do this:
1. Open the presentation you want to save as a template.
2. Strip it of as much content as possible so you are left with the bare bones of the presentations structure.
3. Go to File, Save As and from the drop down menu in the ‘Save as type’ section, select PowerPoint Template. Make sure to also ‘Save in’ Templates.
Now the template is saved, to access it:
1. Go to File, Open, Templates and select the template you want you open.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
Cindy
