Hi Micheal,

Thank you for your question regarding changing the background colour of smart art.

In order to do this you need to...

1. right click anywhere in the background and a menu will appear from which you should...
2. select format object and from the resulting dialogue box...
3. select fill and ...
4. choose your desired fill.
