Animation, embedding videos, linking media

Hello, after being shown how to do all of the above mentioned in the question I have come back to the office and none of it appears to work properly! I was told to post a question on the forum but to be honest I really need someone to explain in detail why these things won't work. For example trying to put simple animation into a presentation and it won't let me select and add build to individual text boxes or images. Which should be really simple?!

Secondly I was shown how to embed windows media files into a presentation in a tricky complicated manner but I got back to the office and carried out the instructions word by word, handed the presentation to my boss, he loaded it on his laptop and it wouldn't work!! The video wouldn't even load. Nothing. Just blank.

We have also had issues doing a simple hyperlink build on a USB.

Please PLEASE help me because I'm beginning to look pretty stupid in the office after I came back and told me peers I could do pretty much anyhing they needed me to do on powerpoint which is what I was promised on the course! Cringe!

RE: Animation, embedding videos, linking media

Hi Cat, sounds like your having a few frustrations. Some of the problems are a quite simple, ie, animation, so it might suggest there is something basic going wrong.

Can I suggest you you attempt to build a basic presentation with some of the issues you are having ie, add animation or embed a video and email it to me so I can see where you are going wrong.

my email is paul@stl-training.co.uk. I am going to mark this question as resolved and you will receive an email saying it has been resolved, however this is only because I'll get you to email me personally so just ignore it when you get it.

Look forward to getting your email.

Thanks
Paul
