Arrows and Connecting Lines

How do you get lines / Arrows to stay connected between boxes when you move the boxes positions.

RE: Arrows and Connecting Lines

Hi John,

Thank you for your question.

Select the Line or Arrow shape and before you draw it hover over the border of one of the shapes on the page.

Red boxes should then appear around the shape. Place the + handle over one of the red boxes and draw the arrow towards the border of the the second shape until you see the red boxes. You then place the + handle over a red box to connect the arrow to the second shape.

If the process has been successful you should get two red circles representing the connection points.

When the shapes move the arrow is then connected.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

PowerPoint tip:

Running PowerPoint Show Without Opening PowerPoint

If you double click on a PowerPoint show, PowerPoint opens and shows the first slide in development mode. To prevent this do the following:

Find your PowerPoint file.

Right click on the file's icon with your mouse.

Select 'Show' from the menu that is displayed. PowerPoint opens and runs your slide Show. When the show finishes, PowerPoint closes.

Your audience never sees the PowerPoint working window at all.

To make it easier place a shortcut to the file on your desktop for quick access.
