Outlook 2010

how does one turn off the word as default editior in outlook 2010.

RE: outlook 2010

Hi Hum,

From what I have seen, Outlook 2007 and 2010 always use Word for editing and you can't switch it off. Check out this link for more details:

Hope this helps and you don't have too many problems with it!

RE: outlook 2010

Hi does anyone know why on a few of our users when they open outlook 2010 word automatically opens a blank page (safe mode), i think this is only happening to those emails that have been sent in html format.

This is very urgent.

Thanks

RE: outlook 2010

Hi Hum,

In addition to the email sent by Claire, this maybe an issue regarding your hardware or set up of Outlook.

I have never come across the problem you are experiencing.

All I can suggest is to have a look at a few links I have found or search Microsoft and their Knowledge base to find a solution.

RE: outlook 2010

Hi,

I have a new issues today where pa's have inbox to senior partner inboxes.

When you reply from his acocunt the from adress default to the mailbox ower and not as it previously did, her.

she now has to remember to reply & select her name as it always defaults to her bosses.

is there a way to change this?

Thanks

RE: outlook 2010

Hello Hum,

I would suggest you have a word with your Exchange Server administrator as many of the settings which control Outlook are at Server not End User level.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Ruth

RE: outlook 2010

does not seem like a server side rule, the pa has access to her bosses inbox and if she replies on his behalf she would want he email to default to being sent from her.

RE: outlook 2010

hi Hum,

I can't find this as a user option anywhere, so I suspect Ruth is probably right and the server rules apply. As we (trainers, that is!) are users we rarely have enough access to a system to check it out. sorry we can't be of more help on this one.
