Slide Master / formatting of text

When I insert a new text box, it automatically appears in Callibri font size 12. However all of the text boxes in my presentation are in size 14 Arial. From what I can see, the slide master is also set to Arial.

Please could you tell me:

1) How I can tell which slide master slide applies to which slides in my presentation

2) How to change the default text size and font for a presentation?

Thanks,

Ben

RE: Slide Master / formatting of text

Hi Ben,

Thank you for your question.

If you right click over the border of a text box, you can choose the option 'Set as Default Text Box'. From then on each text box you create will be in the same format.

1.) If you go to the Slide Master View and hover over Slide Master 1, it will tell you which slides are using that Master. If you have additional Slide Masters e.g. Slide Master 2 then repeat the procedure above.

2.) Go to View and Slide Master View. Click on the Slide Master numbered 1 and select the appropriate text placeholder and make the relevant changes to the font.

Regards

Sion

PowerPoint tip:

Another way to reduce PowerPoint file sizes

A very quick and easy way to reduce the size of a PowerPoint file (particularly if it contains many images and/or objects) make the first slide in the presentation a blank slide (using slide layouts).

Why does this work? Because when you go to open the file through PowerPoint (File - Open or by using the Open button), the preview image that PowerPoint sees of that file is of a blank slide so the overall file size is reduced.
