how do you insert video?

RE: video

Hi Jan, thanks for your query and welcome to the forum. It's nice and simple to insert a video file into Powerpoint. Just go to your Insert tab, and on the right hand side you'll see the "Movie". Underneath that is a drop down with a "Movie from file" option, allowing you to navigate to your video file. Once you select the file and click OK Powerpoint will ask you whether you want the file to start the second someone gets to the slide in the presentation or whether you want a delay before it starts running. That's all there is to it!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

PowerPoint tip:

Convert a 2003 presentation to 2010

If you have a presentation in 2003 you can work on it with the 2010 enhancements by using the compatibility mode.

Open the 2003 file in Powerpoint, and it will open it compatibility mode.

Click on the File tab then select Info, and Convert. Then save the file using "Save as", type in your new file name, and then click Save.

Your 2003 presentation will now be in 2010 and you'll be able to use all the enhancements available.
