Copy from excel file to excel file - with progressive months

Hi there,

I have an excel file which is updated on a monthly basis. Before updating this file I make a copy from the previous month and name it this month, i.e. For September I would make a copy of August month file and update the "filename" in the macro from "August" to "September".

I have a macro to copy from source file into the monthly file but how do i write a code so i dont need to update the file name the source data is copied to.

i.e. source file copied and pasted into August file

For September i copy the August file with macro and i need to update the codes so it reads "copy and paste into September".

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Jack

Excel tip:

How to select certain data in an Excel 2010 workbook

If you want to select the correct data set in a page full of data, the most accurate and efficient way of doing this is to use the ''Shift and Click'' technique.

For example: If you want to select all data in cells A2 to E10, then click on cell A2, hold down the Shift key and click on cell E10 and all the data you want to see is highlighted.

Keep holding down the Shift key and you can move from cell E10 to any other cell in the spreadsheet.
