Excel / PowerPoint / Word 2007

When charts are copied from Excel to Word or Powerpoint using paste special as Picture (EMF), they are not displayed how they used to be in 2003. Lines appear to become thicker, and the object isn't as clear. If I paste in as Graphic Object they look as they should do, however, PowerPoint has a tendency to crash, or not print out the charts at all whilst it tries to update links.

RE: Excel / PowerPoint / Word 2007

Hi Antony

Thanks for your question. Just wanted to check are both the source and destintaion files created and saved as 2007 files or are they converted from 2003 documents. It may make a difference when the data is transferred.

Kind regards,
Andrew

RE: Excel / PowerPoint / Word 2007

They were indeed created from 2003 documents. I have just done a test with fresh 2007 documents, however the effect is the same. Axes lines thicken up. If I sent a file would it help?

Hi Antony

Sure, that's fine. If you forward to info@stl-training.co.uk and mark for my attention it will get forwarded to me. I'll drop you a line to let you know I've got it.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Hi Antony

Just wanted to check with you that this is still a problem. Were you able to send an example file through? I'll take a look and get back to you.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Microsoft Office tip:

Renaming or Deleting Files when Saving or Opening

You can rename and delete files any time you are using a FILE > OPEN or a FILE > SAVE dialog box.
When you see the list of files when browsing in the current folder, you can treat is just like the windows explorer window, by selecting and then editing.

To rename, just give the file a single click to select, then a second to enter the file name. Type the name you want, and press enter.

To delete, a single click and hit the delete key.
