Powerpoint 2007

I have just been upgraded to 2007 but I am taking the powerpoint advanced 2003 training session. How much does the 2007 version from 2003? Will I need to have training in 2007?

RE: Powerpoint 2007

Hello Eliana

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

The functionality of PowerPoint is the same across both versions, the difference is in how the program looks so the main issue people tend to have when they change from one to the other is familiarisation with the new interface.

There are some features that are new, e.g. SmartArt, which can be used to make amazing looking diagrams, and this is quite straightforward to use.

Some features have changed slightly, e.g. the Slide Master and the in-built design templates have been renamed as Themes.

Also the macro recorder has been removed from PowerPoint 2007.

You will be able to download reference material for the 2007 version of PowerPoint from your delegate account on our web site, should you need to look anything up once you have upgraded.

So in answer to your question, it will probably not be necessary to retrain yourself on 2007.

Kind regards
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

2003 keyboard shortcuts work in 2010

If you are happy using your Ctrl + shortcuts and Alt + shortcuts, they still work in Powerpoint 2010.
