Outlook mail distribution list

How do I set up a personal distribution list using names from the global address book.

RE: Outlook mail distribution list

Hi Stephanie. If you click File - New - Distribution List, you'll get the Distribution List dialog box. Type a name for your personal list into the Name field and then click the "Select Members" button. From here you can add names from your global address book into your own personal distribution list and use that going forward.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

RE: Outlook mail distribution list

Hi Stephanie

Not too sure which version of Outlook you are using, in 2003:

Goto File menu, select "New", and then "Distribution List".
In the Name box, type a name for the distribution list.
Then, "Select Members".
In the "Show names from the list", select your global address book with the e-mail addresses you want in your distribution list.
In the Type name or select from list box, type a name you want to include.
In the list below, select the name, and then click Members. Do this for each person you want to add to your new distribution list, and then click OK.

Hope this helps.

regards

Jacob

Outlook tip:

Sending on behalf of tip related to servers

If somebody gives you the correct access to there inbox then you should be able to send on behalf of that person. If it says that you do not have permissions then you would need to speak with the techie guys. There is a setting on all user accounts which gives you send on behalf of rights. Users would need to be added and thus solving the issue.

This is something that I came accross on a recent rollout.
