How do I get underline and double underline in a table, for example to sub total and total columns of figures? Many thanks

RE: Powerpoints Advanced

Hi Helen. Double borders in tables generated in Powerpoint 2007 aren't supplied unfortunately; presumably because more complex/financial tables are ordinarily done in Word.

However, try this workaround. If you select the text inside a cell, go to the Home tab and click the bottom left pullout icon on the font section this will give you access to underline tools. In that selection, there is a double underline option which will produce the same end results.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

PowerPoint tip:

Embedding fonts in a presentation

If you create a PowerPoint presentation which is likely to be viewed on other computers, there can be problems with displaying the font/s you have used in your presentation when it is opened on other machines.

You can embed the fonts you use in your presentation in order to try and get around this issue.

When you go to save your presentation (File - Save as), go to the Tools button at the top of the Save As dialogue box and select Save Options. Under 'Font options for current document only', tick the Embed TrueType fonts option, then select the secondary option underneath that applies best to your situation.

Click OK, then Save.
