Can you tell me how to apply a certain theme to a particular slide?

Thanks for your post

This way to do this procedure is go to the slide master view - then click the slide type you want to apply the theme too, then go the design tab find the theme you want to apply and click it. this should only affect the slide type on have selected in the slide master

One of the developments in Microsoft Office is that the Menu system has been optimized. This means that only recently used functions are displayed initially when you SINGLE CLICK on the menu.
There are many ways of getting around this:
