Thanks for the post - sorry for my late reply

the main types of file you can link are Word and Excel, there are 2 approaches to this from say excel copy the data in excel
then go to PPT and then go to the edit menu and choose paste special then link

PS: you can also linkto many other things by using Hyperlinks - all you need to do is select something then either insert hyperlink or right click and choose hyperlink as you will see there are many options

Rearrange bulleted text quickly

Here are some handy shortcut keys for rearranging bullet points on your slides.

Simply click anywhere within the bullet point you wish to reposition; then hold down Shift + Alt then use the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key depending on which direction you want to move the bullet point in (up or down).

The bullet point will move up or down one bullet point at a time.
