how to import video files from internet

RE: video

Hi Daniel.
Thanks for your question

In reply: If you are going to use video clips from the internet ensure they are of the type .avi and .mpeg
However Powerpoint will accept many different types of movie formats. Rule of thumb is if the movie plays with no problems in your Windows Media player it should play in the slide. Then follow the INSERT>MOVIES AND SOUNDS commands to insert it on your slide. Make sure you get a video with good resolution and remember you can resize it if it is small, however this could result in pixilisation if the resolution is poor. . I hope that helps... Pete

PowerPoint tip:

Checking for spelling errors in embedded or linked objects

The spellcheck in PowerPoint will only pick up errors in text typed directly onto PowerPoint slides - it will not pick up errors in any embedded or linked objects that have been brought into the presentation from another application.

To ensure the entire content of your presentation is error-free, use spellcheck in the application you are importing information from before embedding or linking objects into PowerPoint.
