What is a custom show and how can i use it?

RE: shows

Hello Karen

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

A custom show is a slide show of a presentation that is constructed from just particular slides within that presentation.

The reason you would create custom shows is to create slide show presentations that are suited to particular audiences.

For example, you might have 10 slides in a presentation; and slides 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10 are relevant to one audience; and slides 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8 are relevant to another.

Custom shows allows you to create and store two different slide shows for these audiences as part of the presentation.

We cover custom shows as part of our PowerPoint Advanced course.

PowerPoint tip:

Grouping objects

Sometimes you may want to move images, clipart, text boxes around your slide.

To effectively do this so they stay together you can group objects,

1)Highlight all the objects, by either dragging around the objects or holding down the CONTROL key and selecting the objects

2)Right clcik and select group.

No when you move one object the others will move with it.

You can remove the grouping by right clicking on the object and ungrouping.
