How do you link different worksheets within excel, so that numbers correspond?

RE: Excel

Hello Katherine

Thank you for your question.

You can link one cell with another by doing the following:
1. Select the cell that you wish to link to another cell.
2. Type in =
3. Navigate to and select the cell that contains the figure/value that you want to link to, and select that cell.
4. Press Enter.

This creates a one way link from the cell that contains the figure/number and the cell you have created the formula in to link to that cell. This way if the figure/value changes, it will also change/update in the cell where you have created the formula.

Microsoft Office tip:

Copying From Websites

If you find some interesting text on a website that you wish to use and adapt in your wordprocessor or other package, highlight and copy in the normal way first.

When you paste though, use the Paste Special option to insert as unformatted text. That cuts out all the fancy formatting and hyperlinks that may be embedded.
